William H. Spelas

William H. Spelas, 86, of 250 Grove Street, Manchester, died April 24, 2004, at the Elliot Hospital. He was born on August 17, 1917, in Manchester, NH, the son of Haralampos and Eleni (Katsavos) Spelas and had been a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Spelas was past President of the Board of Directors for St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral and was also very active with the church community. He was a member of AHEPA and the NOA Club. Mr. Spelas was an avid walker and he loved bowling. He worked as a store manager with the NH State Liquor Commission for many years, retiring in 1980. Family members include his wife of 57 years, Ruth (Laflamme) Spelas of Manchester, three daughters; Alice Love, Joni Spelas of Goffstown and Cynthia Ziemieski of Manchester, three grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Samalis and Louise Spelas, both of Manchester and two nieces. IN HIS LIFE he felt very blessed to have three grandchildren, Ashley Love, Adam Love and Sarah Freedman and two nieces, Linda Samalis and Elaine Oleniak. Funeral Services are private.
