William M. Wilson
William M. Wilson, 63, of Manchester, NH died on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester.
Mr. Wilson was born on February 14, 1957, in New Haven, CT, the son of the late William F. Wilson and Veronica M. Dawson.
He was a veteran and served in the United States Army. He spent his post service years helping other veterans in need, as a member of the Commander's Club and a Benefits Protection Team Leader with the DAV, a former board member and constant supporter of the Liberty House in Manchester NH, and a proud lifetime member of the VFW in Pelham NH. He played ice hockey in his youth and enjoyed watching throughout his life. He was also a fan of the New England Patriots and enjoyed spending time with friends.
Members of his family/friends include; His beloved dog, Liberty "Libby" Wilson as well as the family that adopted him: Tyler Manson of New Boston NH; Michelle Coombs and Matthew Richard of Manchester NH; Jasmine Shamer of Manchester NH and the children that he spoiled: Adailade Manson of New Boston NH; Megan and Tristen Shamer of Manchester NH; and Seamus and Hailee Lane of Hudson NH.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. Interment will take place at a later date at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen.
Please note current restrictions limiting funeral home capacity to no more than 50%. Those in attendance are respectfully requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to DAV, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-9900 or The USO, PO Box 96860, Washington, DC 20077-7677 or VFW National Home for Children, Dept 3110, PO Box 30516, Lansing, MI 48909-9703, in memory of Mr. Wilson.
