Yolande Margaret Robichaud passed away at the age of 92 on August 13, 2017 after a long period of declining health.
She was born on June 10, 1925 in the small town of Charney, PQ, Canada, the 22nd child of 23 siblings.
Yolande worked for many years at Chicopee Mills in Manchester and was a 70 plus year resident of West Manchester. Her passions were caring meticulously for her home and its grounds, cultivating her flower gardens and the enjoyment of classical music. She was a creative seamstress and a fabulous cook. Her biggest pleasure was preparing meals for her family and friends.
Yolande was pre-deceased by her husband Camille in 2006. Married for 62 years, they were Saturday night regulars at Bedford's Carousel Ball Room. Her son, Roger, was a "tragic casualty" of the Vietnam War in 1969.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Machos and her husband Mike; her two grandsons, Kevin Machos and his wife Lauren Meehan Machos; Timothy Machos and his wife Lillian Stevens Machos and her "Six Precious Great-Grandchildren", who knew her simply as "Memere", Michael (10), Luke (8), James (6), Evan (6), Kailee (4), and Sarah (3).
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 18 from 4:30-7:30pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 19 at Parish of the Transfiguration, Kelley Street, Manchester, NH. She will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
