Yvette A. (Bourque) Asselin, 80, of Manchester, died September 6, 2000 at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Manchester on September 30, 1919, the daughter of the late Arsene and Josephine (Martineau) Bourque and had been a lifelong resident of the city. She was the widow of Lucien A. Asselin who died in 1985. Earlier in her life, she had work for various local textile mills. She was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol during the War. She was a past member of the Catholic War Veterans Women's Auxilliary. Family members include her daughter, Mrs. Paul J. (Pauline) Beaudette of Manchester; four sons, Paul L. Asselin of Goffstown, Raymond M. Asselin of Manchester, Robert Paul Asselin of Litchfield and Luke (Lucien Asselin) Hollingsworth of CA; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Rita Collins, Laurette Major and Theresa Gagnon, all of Manchester; a brother, Roger Bourque of Manchester; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours are at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 in St. Edmond Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
