Yvette A. Caron

Yvette Alexina Caron, 96, of Manchester, NH, died at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill, MA on September 4, 2021.

She was born in Manchester, NH on June 27, 1925, the daughter of Fortunat Boisvert and Estelle St. Hillaire.

A lifelong resident of the Queen City, she was employed at the shoe shops in Manchester as a stitcher and a weaver in Chicopee Mills in Manchester, NH. She worked at Stuart’s Department Store in Goffstown, NH for many years and was later a volunteer at Catholic Medical Center Hospital in Manchester. Working at Bartlett Elementary School in Pinardville, NH, she was a “Foster Grandparent” in the Friends Program and was lovingly known as Miss Yvette to her many young students, teachers and staff.

She was pre-deceased by her husband of 53 years, Louis Paul Caron, her brother Maurice Boisvert and her youngest son, Robert Maurice Caron. Her surviving family includes her son, Edward F. Caron and his wife, Denise of Springfield, VT; son, Paul A. Caron and his wife, Justine of Atkinson, NH. She leaves behind the following grandchildren and step-grandchildren - Sherri Holtan and her husband, Hans; Jocelyn Kinghorn and her husband, James; Matthew Caron and his wife, Rena; Sean Caron and his wife Christine; Gabrielle Roberts and her husband, Dave; and Derek Batz and his wife, Carolyn. Yvette leaves behind six great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren as follows – Colleen Holtan, Danica Caron, Luke Caron, Cayla Batz, Breena Batz and Melinda Roberts; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

SERVICES: Calling hours for Yvette will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM, with a service beginning at 11:00 AM.
