Manchester â Yvette G. Smith, 89, died suddenly May 16, 2014 at the Catholic Medical Center.
She was born on June 30, 1924 in Manchester the daughter of Alphonse and Rose (Ouellette) Miville. She attended Ste. Marie's grammar school and graduated from Ste. Marie's High School.
Yvette was a dedicated homemaker, a talented seamstress and enjoyed many types of needlework.
She spent much of her time volunteering within the community, including 50+ years at CMC and as recently as last week a Granite State Ambassador at the information desk at Manchester Airport and Manchester City Hall.
Yvette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was happiest spending time with family and friends, especially Thursday evenings at the Backroom.
She is survived by three children: son, Gerry Smith and wife Katharin of Portsmouth, NH; daughters, Lorraine Lavalliere and husband Richard of West Palm Beach, FL and Linda Roberts and husband John of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Erin Smith, Catherine Capp and husband Ryan and Carolyn Roberts; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by husband Maurice Smith, son, Raymond Smith and siblings, Florence Croteau, Lorraine Bouchard, Roch Miville and Fernand Miville.
Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Monday from 4-7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00AM at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave, Manchester. Committal prayers will follow in the mausoleum chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
