Yvonne L. Johnson

Yvonne (Landini) Johnson, 83, of Bedford, NH died April 9, 2005, at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on December 3, 1921 and was the daughter of Gabriel and Annette (Salvo) Landini. She attended Salem State Teachers College. Yvonne worked for 13 years at the Curtis Candy Company in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a Gold Star Wife and was predeceased by her first husband, Louis P. Bernicchi who was killed in action during WW II and her second husband, Earl K. Johnson who died in 1976. She previously resided in Holden and Somerville, Massachusetts. She volunteered for local hopitals, the American Cancer Society and worked as a receptionist at Family Physical Therapy Services. IN HER LIFE: She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Anthony's Church in Somerville and also a member of Miss Cassasa's Madonna Circle. For the past 19 years she has lived with her daughter Cathy, son-in-law Jon and her grandsons; Dustin and Darrin, in Bedford, NH. She loved her summers on the lake, the Boston Red Sox and all occasions with her loving friends; Chickie, Howie, Ann and John. She was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was predeceased in death by her sisters; Florence Corso and Edna Shtogreen Carroll and her brother Richard Landini. Family members include her daughter, Cathy J. Leer of Bedford, her son, Scott K. Johnson of Hubbardston, a brother, Urban T. Landini of Bedford, NH, five grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. SERVICES: Calling hours are Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 O'clock at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 Route 101, Bedford Village Shops, Bedford, NH, with her Mass of Christian Burial immediately following in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford, NH at Noon. Burial will be at the Worcester Memorial Park, Paxton, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
