Zelda J. Corliss, 78, of Manchester died May 9, 2005 at Elliot Hospital following a brief illness. Zelda was born on June 4, 1926 in New Boston, the daughter of the late Leon and Mabel (Trank) Corliss. She attended Central High School and graduated in the early 1940s. She was a bookkeeper and office worker for most of her career, working at Chicopee Manufacturing, Squire Construction, Inc. and Swiftwater Girl Scout Counsel. Zelda enjoyed cooking, baking, and taking leisurely Sunday afternoon drives throughout New England. Family members include; two sons, Leon Biscornet of Manchester and Bruce Biscornet of Bedford; four grandchildren; two great grandsons; her companion of 50 years, Nicholas Zawojski of Manchester; two brothers, Clifton Wilson of Margate, FL and John Corliss of Knoxville, Tennessee; two sisters, Betty Calderara of Wilton and Ruth Dodge of New Boston; and several nieces and nephews. In her life: She had four loving grandchildren, Amanda Savo of Port Charlotte, FL, Brad Biscornet of Tyngsboro, MA, Michael Biscornet of Bedford and Marc Biscornet of Manchester, and two great grandsons, Anthony The General Savo and Roman Savo both of Port Charlotte, FL. Calling hours will be Thursday evening, May 12th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue in Manchester. There will be a graveside services on Friday morning at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford.
