Zissis W. Anagnost, 87, of 94 Hubbard Street, died November 9, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Youngstown, OH on October 1, 1916, the son of William and Stella Anagnost and had been a Manchester resident for the past 65 years. He owned and operated Eagle Fruit for over 45 years. After that, he worked for ten years at the Anagnost Companies. He was a member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral and belonged to Ahepa, the NOA Club, the Masons and the Shriners. He was a founding member and past president of the Pericles Club and was a former president of the Assumptions Greek Church. He was the widower of Stella (Pappas) Anagnost who died in 1998. Family members include two sons, Dino Anagnost of New York City, NY and Dick Anagnost of Bedford; a daughter, Debra Anagnost of Manchester; three grandchildren; a brother, Christos Anagnost of Nashua; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
